At LYT Group, the Senior Accounting & Finance Consultant supports client engagements, solves accounting and finance challenges, and delivers hands on execution plus advisory support across industries. This is a strong fit for someone who works independently, manages multiple priorities well, and brings sound judgment to every decision.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact:

​

Lead Core Client Accounting Support

• Execute monthly close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, trial balance review, and variance analysis against budget or forecast

• Oversee operational accounting and finance processes such as accounts payable and revenue management

• Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, management reports, and KPI summaries that support leadership decision-making

• Support budgeting, forecasting, rolling forecasts, scenario analysis, and financial modeling as assigned
   

Deliver Insight and Process Improvement

• Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory guidance

• Identify financial and operational risks, research accounting guidance, and support remediation of control gaps

• Partner with internal teams and clients to improve processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and drive continuous improvement initiatives

• Translate financial information into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders

Bring Strong Judgment and Execution

• Manage multiple priorities across concurrent client engagements with confidence

• Own significant portions of the accounting and finance cycle

• Balance accuracy, efficiency, and responsiveness in dynamic client environments

• Contribute to stronger processes, cleaner reporting, and more effective decision support

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience

• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including U.S. GAAP fundamentals and close processes

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment

• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong communication and organization skills

Additional Qualifications We Value

• CPA or equivalent professional certification

• Experience working in a consulting or multi-project environment

• Intermediate to advanced experience in Excel when it comes to data analysis or financial modeling

Backgrounds That Translate Well to This Role

• Industry accounting or finance experience with interest in greater variety and broader exposure

• Consulting or project-based accounting experience supporting multiple stakeholders or engagements

• Senior accounting or analyst experience with strong close, reporting, and operational finance capabilities ready for a more dynamic client facing opportunity

Work Style and Location

• Full time | Exempt | Salaried position

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $90,000 to $115,000, based on experience
